While cities are setting new landmarks in science and technology, people living in remote areas all across the world are still looking for basic electrical power points to illuminate their homes. Addressing the issue, Australian designer Jerome Lafleur has developed a sustainable light dubbed the “Modular Solar Lamp” that as its name indicates harnesses renewable energy to enlighten remote, bleak lives. Developed an independent outdoor light system, the sustainable lamp can source its own power directly from the sun and operate on its own. Producing adequate energy during the day to emit light throughout the night, the modular lamp switches on/off automatically to prevent the wastage of electricity.
