Topographical Carpet Must Be Mine, My Toes Decree It
Imagine a vast kingdom of rolling hills and rippling tides, cast in soothing shades of green, blue, and yellow. A kingdom that is soft and squishy. A kingdom in which the only doctrine is the Divine Right of Toes.
It took the help of 30 friends for Laurens van Wieringen to construct this magical place—a carpet that uses foam bars to create a sort of landscape raised in relief—but it was certainly worth it. How will I ever settle for a rug that's content to exist largely in two dimensions?
I hope they don't do anything too rash—my toes can be petty and jealous tyrants. [Design Milk]
